About Business: 

Major Project Business (MPB) is currently recruiting for a BIM Manager (MEP) to become a key member of the MEP project delivery team. MPB offers exciting opportunities to work on large scale multidisciplinary projects across the sectors and regions. Candidate will be part of team working and supporting other Atkins offices on cutting edge major projects which are of significant importance to Atkins globally.   

•  BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data sets/workflows and project set up. Capable to develop, implement and maintain the BIM Protocol.
• Create and maintain a BIM Coordination Programme that is aligned with the Project Programme.
• Establish BIM Coordination workshops and report progress at the Project Design Team meetings.
• Identify and document clashes between different discipline models using clash detection software.
• Establish quality control procedures to check that all of the models are accurate, the level of detail is fit for purpose.
•  Record and monitor shared data and relationships between models e.g. grids, floor levels, shared project coordinates.
• Technical management of project BIM data sets.
• Liaise with Design Systems team to ensure changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
•  Manage and maintain project content and source additional content for project teams.
• Helping to technically deliver BIM projects in the role of CAD and BIM coordination.
•  Provide technical support for BIM enabling software applications to the project team.
•  Provide one-to-one mentoring on 'Best Practice' workflows to project teams as required
•  Deliver project team mentoring in BIM Software enabling Applications.
•  Prepare project specific training documentation and project BIM execution plans.
•  Work with all disciplines vendors on content download and update to Company Standards.
•  To contribute or otherwise assist as required.

•  Should have minimum of 10+ years of professional experience with minimum 5+ years of working knowledge of CAD/Revit BIM enabling applications. Any additional working experience on other BIM/CAD tools like BENTLEY 2D Micro station, AECOsim building 3D designer will be an added advantage but are not essential.
•  Experience using Newforma & Bentley Project Wise is desirable.
• Candidates coming from Design or Construction related back ground are preferable.
• Have prior working experience (minimum 5 years) in a design consultancy environment is essential.
• Have previous working experience in a project coordination role for CAD/BIM applications.
• Possess 3 year Diploma or 4 years B.E/B.Tech. Degree in Mechanical/electrical Engineering is essential.
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent organisational skills.
•  Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
• Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
• Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times.
•  Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
•  Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team.
• Should have experience working with Middle East and UK clients with the knowledge of regional standards & regulations.
• Flexible attitude & able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
