Our architects don’t just design buildings. They’re responsible for making the impossible possible, visualising concepts and creating beautiful structures that stand the test of time. From new builds to extensions and alterations on historic properties, architects are in the business of making structures safe, stable and stunning.
An Atkins architect is always looking for the best way to do things, whether that’s advising on structural integrity or drawing up a grand new public space to be enjoyed for decades. They work closely with clients and always balance form with function, regardless of the project size. Budget control, environmental impact assessment and liaising with contractors are all functions of an architect’s everyday role, alongside drawing, specifying, tendering and presenting.
We’re looking for architects at all levels with great vision and creativity, as well as the practical and technical skills to make it all happen.
Alex Pullin, Architectural Assistant
I am keen to work all over the world, and I knew that there would be opportunities to do this at Atkins – in fact, I am currently on a secondment in the Middle East.
I work closely with a much broader range of professionals, including engineers, projects managers and specialist consultants, than I would in a typical architectural practice. Atkins is very multi-disciplinary in nature, with incredibly friendly staff and great opportunities for professional growth.
Helen Groves, Architect Director
I joined Atkins because of the buzz and ambition there is in the team here. As a company, it’s progressive, fair and ambitious for its people.
Atkins is a hidden gem when it comes to architecture. There is a real drive to create great buildings and it is a pleasure to be a part of the team.
