What is your educational background?I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Copenhagen Business School.
Why did you apply for a job with Atkins?I knew the consultancy business and thought Atkins could offer some interesting assignments.
How would you describe your role and responsibilities?My job includes handling project accounting on large- and medium-sized projects. However, at the moment I am being introduced to new job areas within project management.
How do you describe what you do to friends and family? I usually say that we design railways and that my job involves internal accounting.
What’s the most technically challenging project you’ve worked on at Atkins? Double track in Southern Jutland.
How has your career developed at Atkins?Currently, I am being introduced to the project management field and eventually I hope to work as project manager.
How would you describe the culture at Atkins?I think it is a very motivating workplace. Everyone is working towards achieving the best results. Even in difficult situations, everyone is good at laughing together and taking an optimistic view of the problems.
What do you appreciate most about working with Atkins?The flexibility Atkins offers. When you have a family with small children, it's important that your employer understands your situation and can offer the necessary framework for you to make your life work. In addition to this, I have the pleasure of working with a lot of great people, who make coming in to work every day fun.
