.NET Software Developer - Aldershot

Our ADS&T (Aerospace, Defence Security & Technology) division has been experiencing a period of sustained growth across various market sectors, including defence, cyber security, airports, water & industrial. We are primarily a projects based business, providing technical consultancy & solutions primarily to the UK market and are seeking the right individuals to join our growing team in Aldershot, Hampshire, UK,

We require a .NET Software Developer based in our Aldershot office to support the development and deployment of applications in the Defence sector.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a security vetting process and offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted before commencing employment

The responsibilities

You will:

• develop solutions for our Defence sector using VB.NET;
• perform and deliver allocated project tasks, to quality, time and budget requirements, as directed by the Senior Development Lead and Software Development Manager;
• have excellent communication in the English language, both written and verbal, and with colleagues and clients;
• document agreed solutions according to project standards;
• support the deployment of the solution, including preparation and delivery of analysis, demonstrations, workshops, training and documentation.

The requirements

You will have:

A degree (min 2:1) or equivalent (Computer Science or Mathematics preferred);
An A grade pass at A-level Mathematics (or equivalent)
Experience of development in VB.NET
Previous work/placement experience in a technical or consulting environment

Desirable attributes include:

• previous experience in the Defence sector;
• experience of developing in C#.NET;
• experience of working within an Agile development environment;

Some work outside normal office hours may be necessary. Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to client’s offices overseas may also be required.
