The JCDP will support you to do this by developing your core and specialist consultancy skills through a mixture of client assignments, internal learning, development activities and external training. You will work in a number of client environments with a variety of experienced consultants whilst on the programme, as a means to develop a substantial breadth and depth of knowledge and experience.

Our Teams

During the application process, candidates will be able to make a preference as to which one of our three specialist consulting career paths you may like to follow. Our business is structured into Practices, designed to group together complimentary skills, so during the JCDP we can tailor your development based on the type of consultant you would like to become. Preferences made during the application are not set in stone – we are flexible as you develop your consulting skill-set, however we would like to understand your likely career direction. The three consulting career paths are described below.

Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) Consulting and Delivery:
Our heritage and track record offers the fantastic opportunity to lead and deliver transformational change in our clients as part of our P3M practice. We want our graduates to feel confident leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients’ biggest problems.

Your degree subject isn’t important. What we are looking for are talented graduates with strong organisational and communication skills, a focus on the clients’ desired outcomes and the business brain to quickly understand complex P3M delivery.

You’ll work across a number of clients and sectors, developing market leading P3M skills and understanding core processes and methodologies, supported by industry recognised training and qualifications.

As one of the few consultancies to offer a specific graduate P3M career path, we offer the opportunity to be part of a client-facing delivery team from day one, with the aim to become a fully-fledged project manager or P3M consultant by the end of your time on the JCDP.

Business Consulting:
Experienced Business Consultants focus on quickly getting to the core of clients’ organisational issues and working alongside them to transform their organisation. Whether you would prefer to develop strategies and operating models, analyse where improvements can be made, or understand an organisation’s people and influence change – we can equip you with the toolkit of technical consultancy skills required to help our clients succeed.

Our Junior Consultants have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced consultants and senior clients, getting involved from conception right through to delivery and closure of organisational changes. We care deeply about the success of our clients, many of whom are strategically important for the UK, and are known for going the extra mile to solve underlying challenges, fundamental to the success of their organisations and wider society.  We will support you to enable you to leave a legacy for the client, whilst gaining your own invaluable experience.

As you build your experience ready to leave the JCDP, you will find a natural home in one of the following Business Consulting teams however will be equipped to work across them all; Change Management, Operational Improvement, Procurement, Stakeholder Engagement and Communications & Strategy and Transformation.

Digital Technology Advisory:
Great technical solutions take more than great technical minds to deliver. They take great consultants too. Consultants with the business acumen, the personality and the tools to deliver value in complex client environments. Join our Digital Technology Advisory practice as a Junior Consultant and you will be part of a structured development programme while being given the opportunity to apply yourself to digital advisory roles in anything from digital strategy consulting to technology enabled transformation, from systems engineering to technology procurement, from business analysis to IT project management.

As a fast-growing digital consultancy we have big ambitions and we are looking for driven graduates with a technology-focussed degree to help us achieve them. You’ll also need an appreciation of the power of technology in shaping the way that organisations operate. You will be taking responsibility on live client assignments from day one and you can expect the training and mentoring you need to build on your technical knowledge and shape your career path as a trusted digital consultant.

 Who we’re looking for

• Academically strong, talented and rounded graduates with a 2.1 or above or equivalent (Masters), in virtually any degree discipline (unless you have a technology-focused degree and wish to go into the STC practice as outlined above).
• Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of colleagues and become a trusted client adviser up to CEO level.
• Complex problem solving and analytical skills, enabling innovative solutions and sound decisions and recommendations.
• Confident working independently on own initiative and enjoy being part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Ambitious, commercially aware and client focused with the drive to keep on learning.
• Ability to be UK mobile, whilst operating from a base office in either London or Bristol.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a security vetting process and offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted.
