Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Austin, Texas office as an Architect. Under supervision, applies technical professional proficiency to the solution of architectural problems and the coordination of related project activities.


Job Details:

Capable of leading 3 to 4 man design teams.

Capable of representing the firm with clients.

Performs work which regularly requires analysis and deductive reasoning.

Duties typically involve conventional design and plans to carry out diversified projects or phases of a single project with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.

Evaluate and review construction plans (including blueprints and narrative descriptions).

Performs work which regularly requires analysis and deductive reasoning.

Review, respond to and accept shop drawings, material submittals and design related questions.

Attend and lead design and construction coordination meetings.

Knowledge of design, production, construction techniques, procedures, codes, and standards of design.


Qualifications:

Knowledge of how a building goes together.

Must have extensive experience with construction documents.

Experience with Revit is required.

CAD skills required.

Some travel will be required.


Education & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. This level may be achieved by Architects with two years' experience with Bachelor's or one year experience with Master's. Typical incumbent has four to five years' experience.


Special Skills:

Technical writing, computer and strong communication skills desired.
