SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Architecture Team in Miami, FL as an Architectural Designer.


MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Under supervision, applies technical professional proficiency to the solution of architectural problems and the coordination of related project activities.

• Performs work which regularly requires analysis and deductive reasoning.  
• Duties typically involve conventional design and plans to carry out diversified projects or phases of a single project with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. 
• Evaluate and review construction plans (including construction documents, specifications, and narrative descriptions).
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and respond to design related questions.
• Review projects according to life safety code, governing building codes, and design guidelines.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. Typical incumbent has a minimum of five years' experience.

• Proficiency in Microstation and Revit required. 
• Understanding of architectural practice, building construction, documentation, and strong construction detailing experience.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 
• Technical writing and strong communication skills required.
