We are currently looking for a Graduate Economist to join our successful London team. The appointed candidate will join a progressive team of planners and economists which is strongly integrated with our transport, engineering, design and environmental businesses. While the post would be based in London, we operate flexibly across the region and the successful candidate may also be able to work out of our Epsom office or from home at least 1 day per week.

Requirements
The position requires a graduate with a degree in Economics, Economic Development or a relevant discipline. Having 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential. Essential requirements include:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
• Confident team worker
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Self-motivated and keen to develop


Responsibilities
• Undertake socio-economic baseline analysis and socio-economic policy reviews for economic and multi-disciplinary infrastructure, development and planning projects
• Data collection and analysis
• Economic and demographic forecasting and input into evidence base studies (e.g. Economic Development Needs Assessments)
• Socio-economic impact assessment for infrastructure and development projects
• Preparation of economic strategy documents
• Socio-economic research
• Input into bid preparations
