Assistant Electrical Engineer

The role of the Assistant Electrical Engineer is to be a key member of the team and will have a high level of competency to deliver M&E designs within the Rail sector. The design works will encompass building services for stations and depots and trackside schemes including signalling power supplies, points heating and level crossings.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the M&E Team Leader – North for M&E Systems, which is part of the Energy System Practice within Transportation.
• Integrate with and assist a team of Design Engineers and Senior Design Engineers who undertake electrical design work within a Rail environment.
• Undertake site surveys and the preparation of design specifications to company and Network Rail standards using Microstation and/or AutoCAD, Amtech Pro Design, ETAP and Microsoft office packages
• Prepare outline and detailed design deliverable packages for professional submission including drawings and other items.


Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent
• Be a competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
