Assistant Operations Controller

Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as an Assistant Operations Controller in Charlotte, NC.

Job Description

Monthly financial reporting and analysis for the Commercial business unit

Support the monthly PSR review and approval process, ensuring compliance to monthly timetable

Monthly Accounts preparation, to include month end journals for accruals/prepayments, revenue adjustments, and an analysis of the P&L and Balance Sheet

Analysis of project activity to support accurate costs, accruals and invoicing

Maintain balance sheet controls with supporting documentation

Review of project provisions and overwrites when necessary

Monthly Cash Forecasting and weekly project updates to optimize operating cash flows

Drive the invoicing & cash collection of the business

Support the Project Approval System process and project setup/closure in PAS

Provide support & information to the Energy Compliance Team as required

Quarterly forecast updates for Commercial

Annual budget preparation in conjunction with the business leads and business manager

Line management responsibility for timesheet and expenses approval, PTO balances and annual PDRs.

Ad hoc financial analysis in support of bid & proposal activity

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

5 years of diversified accounting experience, with supervisory experience is preferred

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, strong analytical and detail orientation, and good interpersonal skills.
