Within our Cambridge office we are growing our Project Management team. To further enhance our Client focused delivery approach, we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to work alongside our PM team and work with our varied clients across Cambridge, covering the education, commercial property, science and innovation, leisure and industry sectors.These projects range from £500,000 – £350 million in value.

This role requires travel within the region.

Responsibilities

Effective delivery of both project and programme management services, across a wide range of sectors and Clients. You will have the necessary ambition and drive to not only deliver a high quality professional service but also support the office with business development and marketing activities to help grow the team.

Requirements

Ideally you would have a relevant degree in a Construction related course and be a professional member or working towards achieving a relevant professional qualification.
Experience in programming and reporting; familiar with RIBA Plan of Work
Competent user of all Microsoft Packages, including Microsoft project
Familiar with multiple procurement routes
Experience in delivering at least traditional and design & build projects (pre and post contract experience)
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a consultancy environment and take a pro-active approach to all work tasks.
You will need to be confident communicator and have proven organisational skills; arranging, and accurately recording meetings, you will be able to work independently (with senior support) whilst being pro-active and helping to identify what the next steps are in order to keep the project on track; you will demonstrate a keenness to learn and would want to further your career by working on more challenging assignments in an assistant capacity and/or running your own minor projects.
