Due to continued success in securing projects throughout Scotland, we’re looking for a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our highly successful team in Edinburgh. Our projects range in value from £1m to £20m+ and are with a variety of high profile clients giving our Project Managers a diverse and exciting workload. We are looking for a collaborative and sharp minded Assistant Project Manager to:

 

To provide assistance to the office technical and project management functions. You are focused on delivering quality support and make the most of opportunities to develop your practical experience and broaden your knowledge of project management.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to experienced colleagues within your team.
  • Proof-reading documents to check they are complete and accurate.
  • Completing general administrative duties.
  • Developing your knowledge and experience of project management.
  • Applying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in
  • compliance with the organisation's Policies.
  • Developing your understanding of the organisation's Policy and arrangements for
  • managing your own personal safety while at work.
  • Developing and adapting your communication skills, particularly with customers, to
  • reflect the organisation's values.
  • Increasing your understanding of Faithful+Gould's and Atkins' service offering and
  • the benefits these bring to clients.
  • Consciously monitoring how you interact with others, in accordance with the
  • organisation's values.



To join us you’ll need:
• A strong knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and
• overall project management techniques
• Experience within a Project Management role within the construction industry would be desirable, but not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude and approach.
• Experience working within a consultancy environment, although again, this is not essential
• A relevant engineering/project management/construction qualification (RICS accredited)
• A sound understanding of the main Microsoft Office packages
• The ability to write coherent and grammatical English
• A clear understanding of the importance of accuracy, and demonstrate this in all
• your work


This role has excellent prospects for an individual who has a strong ambition to progress and enjoys working collaboratively within a vibrant team. As well as technical competence, we are looking for someone with the ability to think laterally and who possesses first class communication skills, able to support our team in providing a first class service to our Clients.
