Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Faithful+Gould are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to provide post contract quantity surveying services to support the planning, delivery and close out of Turnaround activities on a major Petrochemical site, including:

• Contract administration
• Attendance at weekly coordination meetings
• Site measures
• Payment verification and approval
• Contract change evaluation and quantification
• Final account and contract close out
 

 Requirements:
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent degree
• Working towards professional membership of the RICS
• Good knowledge and understanding of construction forms and techniques, including construction costs
• Industry, petrochemical, manufacturing sector experience (preferred)
• Sound basic technical knowledge of quantity surveying that can be built on through training
• Ability to prepare/present emails and documents; demonstrating a good understanding of the written and spoken English language
• Reliable mathematical ability and accuracy in all your work, and good standard of literacy and presentation skills
• Close attention to detail
• Able to communicate confidently with colleagues and work as part of an integrated team
• Self-disciplined
• Motivated to drive and support continuous service improvement
• Sound understanding of the main Microsoft Office packages
