Why not...

We’re looking for a recruiter to join our Early Careers team who recruit our graduates, apprentices and placements. The role is part time and we are looking for someone to work between 3 and 4.5 days a week for the period of 12 months to cover maternity.

To do this role you’ll certainly need to have a passion for early careers, like variety and working in a high volume, fast paced environment and love providing exceptional customer service. Although we have recruitment cycles there’s never a time when we’re not busy so you would come in and hit the ground running to take responsibility for the end to end delivery for half of our placement roles. You’ll also be involved in our apprenticeship recruitment at times and be willing to provide support wherever it’s needed to help the team deliver their requirements for the cycle ahead. Don’t worry if you haven’t done apprentice recruitment before, as long as you have some solid recruitment experience and a real passion for early careers you’ll be fine and we’ll teach you what you need to know.

The closing date for applications to this role is Thursday 21st of September.

So you get a feel for the role, here’s some of the things you’ll be doing:

• Take ownership for the delivery of a number of placement roles end to end from business engagement through to on-boarding
• Manage candidates through our selection process providing an exceptional customer service and an outstanding candidate experience at all times
• There’s some business engagement involved, mostly by phone, and although the team will support you you’ll need to feel comfortable talking with the business and discussing how early careers recruitment operates, discussing candidates and operational needs and helping them shortlist
• Use our ATS which we use for our early careers recruitment, again we’ll train you but you’ll want to have used systems before for candidate management in a recruitment environment
• Help deliver some of our apprentice roles under the guidance of the advisor aligned to apprentices
• Get involved in the ongoing improvement of our early careers recruitment through various projects

You’ll need some solid recruitment experience for this role and have worked with high volume where it’s constantly busy and fast paced. So here’s some of the things that we’re looking for you to demonstrate to enable you to do deliver:

• Highly organised with a structured approach to work to ensure you always deliver what’s expected of you. You’ll take ownership and responsibility and have the support of the team around you but need to ensure you deliver and juggle priorities well whilst being self-managing a lot of the time
• Understand the importance of recruitment best practice, employment law and how to manage candidates fairly and guide the business to do the same
• Great IT skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be comfortable with systems as you’ll be using our ATS to manage candidates
• Excellent customer focus, with the ability to recognise and respond to the diverse needs of business managers and candidates alike
• Build strong relationships with people, getting close to your colleagues, your business stakeholders and candidates
• Like following process where there needs to be and comfortable to look for flexible improvements where the opportunity exists
• This role would be office based with a little travel on occasions to either visit the business or support an apprentice assessment centre. The days are sometimes long but if you love early careers recruitment like we do then you’ll feel the rewards on a regular basis.
