We are looking for a talented individual to join our Transport Planning team in London. The Transport Planning team provides advisory services to clients in traffic modelling, scheme appraisal, design and policy. We are a growing Practice working on high profile exciting opportunities such as Crossrail 2, Highways England’s Regional Investment Programme and the award winning Kingston Mini Hollands project. The role will involve working as part of a team and delivering work streams to analyse and appraise the impact of transport schemes and prepare business cases to justify the case for investment.

Looking at complex projects from every angle, you’ll help our customers to find the best solutions to their transport challenges. Working with Highways England, the DfT, Transport for London, local authorities and private sector clients, we analyse all kinds of schemes from road investment and new railways to bus rapid transit and transport technology projects. We advise on everything from project costs and benefits to the best options and new ways to unlock investment.

The Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who demonstrates:
• Experience in applying analytical techniques to meet varying client / project requirements including use of analytical and research tools such as databases and bespoke spreadsheet modelling.
• Knowledge of transport economic appraisal techniques, tools and guidance – an awareness or proficiency in a range of modelling / assessment tools such as TUBA, MOIRA and transport models.
• Ability to find appropriate solutions to project challenges and enthusiasm for innovation.
• Excellent analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills.
• An interest and appreciation of current transport policy, and the key drivers influencing national and local authority clients.
• The ability to work effectively within a team.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Numerate, economics or transport related degree subject and ideally a relevant post graduate qualification.
• Dynamic, enthusiastic, proactive and passionate about the relevant field.

Please note that we will relocate from our current London office in Euston Tower to the Nova North building in Victoria in the first quarter of 2019.
