We are Atkins; Architecture, Masterplanning and Landscape Practice. Atkins Architectural team are looking to recruit an inspirational work-winner to help deliver the ambitious targets we have within the South Wales market. Atkins are already very successful in this market but we are looking to significantly grow our presence in the region over the next 2 to 3 years. This role would be key to that success.

We are looking for an enthusiastic new member to develop our existing team, and to
• Be client centric
• Be a leader of bids and opportunities in this market
• Establish, maintain and develop relationships with key and prospective clients
• Engage with and nurture the existing team

We are looking for someone to:
• Have a portfolio of clients or contacts in this market
• Proven track record of winning and developing new business opportunities
• Be creative in their approach

Design
• To manage and inspire a team through strong and appropriate leadership
• To ensure design responses are inspirational and respond to the client brief whilst respecting the opportunities and constraints that each site affords, through climate, context and culture.
• To continue to develop designs that are firmly rooted with a strong narrative and that seek to enhance our reputation

Bidding
• Detailed knowledge of our competitors, understand our market differentiators and help to shape them
• Experience in preparing bids and tendering

People Leadership
• Proven team management skills and experience
• Development of the design culture and capability of our multi-disciplinary design team
• An inclusive leader with a confident operating style who is able to deal with diversity within the teams that they manage
• A resourceful, articulate and clear communicator with the ability to influence others
• Be able to work calmly under pressure and lead, inspire and motivate our teams

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
