As part of our ongoing expansion, Faithful+Gould currently has an immediate vacancy for an Associate Director.

 

The role:


The position of Associate Director is within our Advisory team, based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Business Leader for the Advisory team.
The individual will be responsible for delivering a range of advisory services across the entire development cycle.  These can range from development management to organisational change, enabling clients to enhance or initiate their own property developments and capital works programs.
The individual will need to collaborate with a range of other businesses within the SNC-Lavalin Group, particularly the architects, engineers, Acuity consultants and project management teams in order to bring together the skill sets necessary to deliver each unique appointment. 
The individual will be expected to make a significant contribution to growing and leading the F+G Advisory business across Asia Pacific.  In helping to create the climate for delivering world class advisory services, the individual will contribute to developing the business strategy, strategizing market penetration, managing and planning resources and fostering a collaborative, professional and positive working environment.
To be successful they will need to be able to listen to a Client’s needs, develop solutions that meets their requirements and implement in an efficient manner, at all times acting as a trusted advisor.  The individual will therefore need be flexible in their approach and capable of critical thinking.  The role will require a strategic-thinking business professional with strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
This role requires an experienced professional, currently holding a senior position either from a project management company, a management consulting firm or an engineering company with experience in advising clients on a range of built asset related matters.



Key responsibilities include:

 

• To provide outstanding professional services to Clients by utilizing the capability of the regional and global Faithful+Gould businesses and the strengths of the SNC-Lavalin Group;

• Responsible for major commissions / projects that are complex and challenging; providing end-to-end solutions for Clients;

• Contributing to new business development in line with business strategy;

• To support in the preparation of Company fee proposals;

• To carry out business development activities and support the Company in identification of potential leads and Clients;

• Provide thought leadership by contributing to industry events and internal/external publications;

• Build a strong network and keep abreast of developments in best practice;

• Build on and maintain relationships within key internal clients;

• Lead project delivery teams and coordinate with the various business units and sub-consultants involved in a project;

• Assist with developing, leading and implementing resourcing strategies and plans leading to the development of a robust and sustainable Advisory team within F+G;

• To monitor time allocations / utilisations against fee proposals and provide reports to management weekly or monthly, as directed;

• To lead and be responsible for the financial management and reporting of projects in the Advisory team;

• To lead, galvanize, motivate and assist staff members to meet assignment deadlines with high-quality output;

• To support the growth and development of staff within the business;

• To operate with the highest standards of business ethics in accordance with the SNC-Lavalin Group policies.
