Automotive Program Director

We are growing! The Automotive Program Director’s primary role is to lead and manage the sector activities on a Regional Sector basis in and around Detroit based projects and clients, in order to optimize our position in the marketplace. In partnership with the Automotive Sub Sector Lead, this role will be accountable for developing the Strategy and Business Plan that supports over-arching objectives through working collaboratively with the Account Managers, Regional Managing Directors, local Sector representatives, Zone Leads and Business Development/Marketing staff to implement the plan and achieve the overall objectives, while managing within defined utilization, profitability and BD budgets.

Responsibilities
-Partner with the Automotive Sub Sector Lead to further develop and execute the Automotive Sub Sector Business Plan and Strategy with a focus on the Detroit marketplace, to achieve or exceed the Profitability, Revenue and Headcount Targets set out in the Sector Business Plan or Strategy on an annual basis.
-Use Cost Estimating, Benchmarking and Cost Management as a differentiator and route to market where appropriate.
-Drive continued development of Owners Rep, Program Management and Construction Management as Agent services as part of the key service provision within the Sector.
-Directly oversee related existing Client Accounts and current Key Account Managers.
-Provide support to other Automotive Account Managers primarily in the South East and Mexico.
-Manage Sector Health, Safety & Environmental performance in line with Faithful+Gould Business Objectives.
-Support further development of the Sector Business Plan and Strategy in support of, and aligned with, the overall Business and Regional objectives.
-Collaborate with America’s Zone Leads, other Regional Sector leads and other Americas Business Sectors.
-Partner with Business Development Leads to develop Economic Development relationships and continue with IAMC and regional Automotive Manufacturing Councils
 
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field
-15 years of relevant experience
-PMP or PE preferred or other Cost Engineering certification
-Experience managing a program or project of $50-100 million, and have the ability to manage multi-discipline projects or a very large single project.
-Proven ability to develop and implement systems to monitor service and production for major clients. 
-Deep experience in organizing information and data to anticipate/identify major trends, problems and obstacles.
-Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision making abilities.
-Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
