We are looking for a Bid Manager for our London and South East region, based in our London office. This role will support the London and South East business in co-ordinating and leading our bid submissions as well as provide some marketing communications support to the marketing team.  The Bid Manager will report to the Head of Marketing in London & South East region. This is an excellent development opportunity for a candidate experienced in bidding looking for more responsibility in leading submissions and managing all elements of the bidding process as well as gaining experience in a modern marketing role. This is an opportunity for the Bid Manager to make the role their own. Strong communication and project management/organisational skills are essential as is the ability to work autonomously at times and manage your own workload.

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare bid documentation such as pre-qualification and tender documents, presentation material and collate technical input where required
  • Lead and manage strategically significant bids, managing the bid team across the region and potentially outside of region
  • Manage all elements of the bidding process from collecting and maintaining up-to-date experience, client references and testimonials to co-ordinating win/launch sessions, producing best practice responses and maintaining oversight of all bid related activity – opportunity here to make it their own and take ownership of this process and the outcomes
  • Management of bid data in CRM, including tracking and reporting on wins and losses
  • Support and identify the creation of new bid materials, in particular bid style, template and visuals
  • Opportunity to become involved in client feedback process
  • Respond to ad-hoc marketing queries and requests for information
  • Assist with writing news and internal publication articles
  • Internal communications activity as required, including input to quarterly newsletter and notice boards


  • Degree qualified (Marketing Discipline preferred) or relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrable bid co-ordination experience
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work to, and meet, tight deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to influence and negotiate with people at all levels
  • Excellent collaborative and team working skills
  • Understanding and interest in marketing communications and social media
  • Previous experience within a professional services environment is desirable
  • Strong computer literacy, including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook packages and ideally indesign but training will be provided if not
  • Knowledge of CRM is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of the construction industry would be desirable, but is not essential
