BIM Manager – Architecture & Masterplanning Practice

Atkins Architecture & Master Planning Practice are looking to appoint a BIM Manager to progress our national digital strategy and provide technical lead, capability and BIM support to projects across the practice.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced BIM Manager to work within an internationally renowned Architectural Practice, providing the opportunity to work on large scale multidisciplinary projects. You should have the ability to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.

Responsibilities:
• Management and update of Architecture & Masterplanning (A&MP) national digital strategy
• Lead the deployment of the A&MP digital strategy across the region
• Support A&MP practice in successful delivery of BIM Level 2 projects and beyond
• Coordinate content production management including quality assurance – working alongside content creators for Revit and other Digital Engineering tools
• Evaluate new digital tools available within the business and across the industry and promote the use of these with the A&MP region
• Training – lead the strategy for upskilling staff within BIM and Digital Engineering processes, policies, and technology (general and project specific training) within the region
• Attend industry conferences and feed back into the digital national strategy
• Project set up support – BEP development and implementation including establishing project related processes, protocols and CDE arrangements.
• Coordinate template management/updates for Revit as well as other BIM and Digital Engineering tools
• Strategic coordination across Building Design practice (Architecture & Masterplanning, Building Services, Structures disciplines) to ensure successful discipline integration
• Build and maintain networks with digital engineering leads across the wider business
• Support bid submissions in relation to BIM and Digital Engineering delivery

Requirements
• Demonstrable production experience in design and/or drafting within Architectural practice
• In-depth knowledge of UK BIM Level 2 requirements and beyond
• In-depth experience of Autodesk products specifically Revit and Navisworks
• In-depth experience of utilising Common Data Environments to support project delivery
• Good knowledge of Information Management processes and standards
• Good knowledge of Asset Management standards
• Good knowledge of digital tools (e.g. software) within the architectural/ construction industry
• Experience of utilising automation process to improve efficiency (e.g. use of Dynamo)
• Driven to pursue continued education in BIM and connect with wider internal and external industry community.
• Commercial awareness, ability to tailor strategy and technical requirements to company demands
• Confident leading and working as part of a team with good interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
