Within our Cambridge office we are growing our Building Surveyor team. To further enhance our Client focused delivery approach, we are looking for a Building Surveyor to work alongside our Senior and work with our varied clients across Cambridge, covering the education, commercial property, science and innovation, leisure and industry sectors. These projects range from £500,000 – £350 million in value.

This role requires travel to the following areas: Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
Support the Senior and Managing Building Surveyors in their day to day activities
Undertake a wide range of building surveying duties under your own steam throughout Cambridge team.
Learn and understand the principles of quality, safety and the environment within project management
Support the development of graduates
Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, professional services etc and the overall management of schemes in London and the Southeast

Essential Requirements:
Experience in condition surveys of education buildings
Experience in contract administration
Competent survey technique
Planning & Building Control Applications
Client facing experience
An ability to manage your time
Mathematical ability and an understanding of the need for accuracy in all your work
A sound technical surveying knowledge, demonstrating growing experience and ability
Awareness of your limitations and when to ask for assistance from more senior staff
A professional manner and outlook
A focus on client satisfaction and have experience of liaising directly with clients
Punctuality and a commitment to get the job done
IT literate –a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software packages including CAD
