Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Raleigh

Linxon aims to enhance its market presence in the Substation EPC market within North America , focusing on Utilities, Energy Storage, Renewables, Rail, and Data Center segments. This pivotal role, collaborates closely with the HUB leadership team in Raleigh, NC, contributing to the strategic growth objectives of Linxon. The Business Development Manager will specifically concentrate on the Utility, Renewable, and Rail businesses in North America, operating within the Sales Team and reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing for Linxon North America

Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):

  • Achieve sales and business development targets, aligning with strategic goals set by the HUB Team.

  • Coordinate efforts with external stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with decision influencers.

  • Assess Substation projects within various segments/regions aligning with Linxon's business strategy.

  • Screen prospects and opportunities, ensuring a focus on those with the highest probability of success.

  • Lead pricing strategy, technical positioning, competitor analysis, and articulate Linxon's value for key pursuits.

  • Drive the complete BD/Sales cycle, from lead identification to contract closure.

  • Work with the HUB Leadership team to create deals that leverage Linxon offerings.

  • Develop and implement a customer engagement plan, efficiently managing key client relationships.

  • Coordinate efforts with the HUB team for streamlined communication towards main customers and stakeholders.

Experience Required

  • Business Development/Sales or Key Account Management experience.

  • French speaking is mandatory

  • Proven technical experience in turnkey substations or power plants (> 5 years).

  • Work experience in substations or power plants (8 to 15 years).

  • Turnkey Substation or related contract negotiation experience.

  • Proven experience closing >25 MUSD complex business transactions.

  • Experience winning utility and EPC contracts.

  • Previous experience in sales or account management within the Utility or Renewables segments.

  • Strong background in turnkey substations or turnkey electrification with a proven track record in sales business execution.

Skills and Behaviors Required

  • Ability to select partners for key partnerships for market penetration.

  • Accurate forecasting within the company’s CRM, supporting monthly sales reporting.

  • Strong presentation skills for internal and external meetings.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Formal Education and Training Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any other job-related discipline.
