We are seeking a Business Development & Strategy Lead in New York City, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, or Minneapolis, MN. We will also consider other major AtkinsRéalis locations across the US.

•    Clean Power Generation including Hydroelectric, Energy Storage, Wind and Solar
•    Power Delivery including Transmission & Distribution, Substations, Interconnections, and related System Studies
•    Power Generation, including Thermal, Hydrogen, and related Carbon Capture technologies.
    
The US Power & Renewables Team and Overall Position Summary:
The US Power & Renewables Team is part of the Program & Project Services Business Unit within AtkinsRéalis USA, which focuses on projects for private clients in the Energy sector and comprises two groups:
•    “Power & Renewables – Design & Engineering” – providing vertical engineering and design services to support our key target markets.
“Project+Program Services – Energy” – Providing project management and project controls services to major energy companies and utilities and collaborating with other AtkinsRéalis Business Units on Nuclear and Minerals & Metals programs.

About You:

The role of the Power & Renewables Market Business Development & Strategy Lead will be to work with the leads of each of these groups and the AtkinsRéalis USA BD&S Organization to further develop the initial growth strategy and manage the successful implementation of this strategy. Although focused on Business Development and Strategy, this position will report jointly to the Leads for the above groups but also liaise closely with the BD&S Team. This position is also responsible (along with the rest of the team) for achieving business growth, quality, client satisfaction, and project profitability goals and objectives for the Power & Renewables USA Market.

How your experience will contribute to the team:
•    Bring your knowledge of the market and client relationships and work with the team to further develop and provide actionable detail to the P&R Growth Strategy.
•    Develop a detailed execution plan for the P&R Growth Strategy and manage and maintain the team’s focus on the agreed strategy.
•    Be proactive and work to overcome real or perceived barriers to client engagements.  Be willing to work independently until specific actionable intelligence is generated to engage greater organization. 
•    Market AtkinsRéalis brand within target sectors and develop market data that can utilized to find new service outlets.  Mine public databases and other market intelligence to find opportunities.
•    Identify and engage a network of key clients and develop a working relationship with them. Develop and implement client engagement plans. Identify, create, and efficiently manage key client relationships.
•    Participate in the development of the annual and strategic plans for the area of responsibility and implement accordingly for the P&PS business and the P&R Team.
•    Drive the complete BD/Sales cycle with our clients, from initial lead identification and Go / No-go assessments through bidding, negotiation, risk review and contract closure.
•    Actively pursue new project opportunities for the area of responsibility and the firm by maintaining contacts with current and prospective clients; participate in the evaluation of new project opportunities for the area of responsibility and recommends go/no-go action
•    Work with the Bid Teams for creating suitable proposals. Support and participate in project proposal preparation and related client meetings.
•    Maintain visibility and professional profile by participating in professional and associated industry organizations.
Skills and Behaviors:
•    Provide a “value” to clients via your technical skills and industry knowledge. Be a solutions provider.
•    Ability to develop thoughts / strategy into action and clearly present to influence, team, clients, and staff.
•    Ability to select partners for key partnership for penetration into key markets.
•    Ability to accurate forecast business and work within company’s CRM, support monthly sales reporting and manage sales activities via CRM.
•    Strong presentation skills for both internal executive and external customer facing meetings.
•    Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Travel:
Anticipate up to 50% travel, some of which will be regionally or nationally.

Role Requirements:
•    Bachelor's science degree in field of practice. Post-graduate degree preferred. Management coursework and/or MBA a plus.
•    This level may be achieved by technical professionals or managers with fifteen years post-degree experience with at least three of these years in positions with project management or technical delivery responsibilities.
•    15 years’ experience with minimum 5 years in Business Development role within power delivery, generation, or oil/gas sector. Experience within Program Management, Engineering, EPC, or large OEM firms preferred.
•    Proven ability to manage large scope accounts, projects and programs and provide leadership to multiple levels of management.

Expected compensation range is between $160,000 - $220,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
