Working in SNC-Lavalins’s Atkins business you will be based within our Utility Solutions Practice in Bristol. Utility Solutions provides a range of products and services to a wide range of clients, with key sectors being Developers, Consultants and Contractors. 

To support our growing team a Business Excellence Administrator is required to support the Pracitce’s strategy with a specific focus on maintaining our excellent operational standards. Utility Solutions prides itself on its customer service and quality levels and this role is a key support role to ensure this continues. Typical work will involve administration, data input, supporting audits, inbox coordination and supporting process production. 

This role is varied and fast paced and offers a chance to work with all the teams in the Practice as well as members of the Management team. 

Salary range is £19,000 to £22,000 + Standard Benefits

Requirements 

Qualifications 
o Educated to minimum GCSE “O” level standard or similar (“A” level – desirable) 

Essential Criteria 
o Administration experience. 
o Computer literate, particularly in MS Office or similar. 
o Enthusiastic, able to adopt a flexible approach to varying workload and conflicting demands. 
o Conscientious, attentive to detail, customer focused, able to prioritise workload, good communicator both verbal and written, organised. 
o Ability to manage time effectively. 
o Competent user of Microsoft Excel. 

Desirable Criteria 
o Experience in a basic quality assurance, auditing or similar role. 
o Exposure to or interest in continuous improvement practises. 
o Experience of taking meeting minutes. 
o Ability to identify, analyse, prioritise and resolve problems. 
o Strong literacy skills, with an ability to effectively proof-read business documents 
o Experience in a NRSWA/Utility company environment

Responsibilities 


o To support the auditing of tasks completed within the department, to ensure that deliverables meet required quality standards, are produced on time and comply with other contractual and client specific requests. 
o Assist with maintaining existing processes, and associated documents. 
o Document management, including the upload of documents to the department SharePoint site. 
o Data entry tasks i.e. updating audit results, customer feedback logging, logging QA issues reported. 
o Support lessons learnt and complaint activities where required including the creation of detailed timelines. 
o To support the production of weekly/monthly reports as required. 
o Inbox coordination/management for the team mailbox i.e. filtering. 
o General administration duties to support the rest of the department as needed i.e. minute taking, distributing post, filing, scanning etc. 
o Support other teams as needed during busy periods. 
o To be a competent user of the systems used within the business. 
o Undertake additional ad hoc activities as required by Line Manager / Business Excellence Coordinator/ Operations Manager.

Training 
SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development activities designed to help you make the best of your abilities and talents. These are reviewed with individuals through an annual appraisal process. We actively support staff in achieving corporate membership of relevant institutions. 

On the job training will be delivered and a buddy/mentor assigned to ensure that the successful candidate is comfortable with the domain in which they would be working. 

Additional Information 
o Full time role- 37.5 hours 
o Grade range 6-7 
o Overtime may be required during busy periods 
o Flexibility to assist other teams 
o BS clearance may be required 

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
