SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Denver, Colorado Software Development Group as a Business Intelligence Analyst.

 

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

 

Assists with the day to day administration and maintenance of a major company database(s), e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, and associated applications. Assists with implementation patches and upgrade requirements, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance, capacity and security issues, as well as replication and other distributed data issues. Creates reports as necessary. At this level the Database Administrator operates under the guidance of a senior level database administrator for more complex issues.

 

JOB DUTIES

 

  • Complex, varied, non-standardized tasks, processes, or operations relating to major database(s) of the company.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field. One-year experience in application database administration, including system administration, SQL programming language and program design, block diagram/flow chart, and HTML web development preferred. Familiarity with SQL Server platforms (SSMS, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS), Windows Servers, IIS, ASM, RAC, OEM and Linux Servers preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS

Preferred experience in dash boarding and analytics platforms including but not limited to:

  • PowerBI
  • Tableau
  • Qlik
  • Sense

Also preferred that the applicant have experience in data normalization and data architecture best practice. Work supports project controls technology and financial project management
