Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Digital Engineering Group as a CAD/ProjectWise Project Specialist. This position can sit in any one of Atkins’ offices within the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones such as the Greater DC Area, Tampa, Atlanta, Raleigh, Orlando, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Austin, or Denver.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

This role is responsible for the delivery, support, on-going success and continuous improvement of digital products or services in the Digital Engineering space. Work within agile teams that bridge the gap between Atkins’ business and our clients, and the development and technical worlds. Hands-on technical delivery of multiple new products, or existing product enhancements from conception to launch.

JOB DUTIES

Work within globally distributed teams to provide support and development of digital products for Digital Engineering in a Service orientated environment.

Use a deep product knowledge to develop new solutions and support existing solutions at third and fourth line, and with a “fix it once” mind set, passing documented solutions and scripts to first and second line support functions.

Work on specific backlog items to build solutions through creation of new systems or the detailed configuration of existing systems, to address user preferences and behaviors across the relevant digital platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

Well-rounded individual who will contribute to a highly effective distributed team delivering product service support to our customers in a Global environment.

Have a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development and adoption.

Demonstrable ability to put the customer first with strong customer communications and the ability to validate product ideas.

Hands on experience on CAD applications, example Bentley MicroStation, AECOsim, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Revit.

Hands on experience of Content and Workflow applications from a client and server perspective, example Bentley ProjectWise.

Experience of working with software suppliers and vendors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

B.S. in Information Technology or related field plus minimum of 7 years related experience. Additional experience required includes:

Proven customer skills with strong customer communications and the ability to validate product ideas.

In-depth technical knowledge in products and services associated with Digital Engineer and specifically for Content and Workflow.

In-depth understating/experience of development around asset information management toolset used across various business sectors, examples being ProjectWise, Cabinet, Documentum, Aconex, TeamCenter and Wrench.

Hands-on experience in development of solutions around third party products and services.

Experience working with teams using SCRUM, Kanban or some other agile methodology.

Experience in identifying and delivering improvements and new products to meet the demands of the business and bring cost and process efficiencies, backed up with a good understanding of the market offerings in the Digital Engineering space.
