We are seeking a Chief Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Kirkland, WA or Exton, PA, to lead and work on various Mechanical Engineer and Power Industrial projects.

We are looking for a Chief Mechanical Engineer to Manage our Power and Industrial teams of Engineers and Designers. We are seeking a high energy enthusiastic individual that wants to build teams, mentor young professionals and grow the business. Preferred locations are Kirkland WA or Exton PA, but remote work may be considered. Preferred technical experience in Power Generation. Focus on processes and quality, project execution. We are ready to grow!

The Chief Mechanical Engineer will join our team of supportive, cohesive, friendly, hard-working professionals. Our projects are varied and often fast paced and technically challenging. We provide engineering design services in the energy and industrial sectors. We deliver detailed engineering projects, FEED studies and we support Owner Engineer’s mandates. We are expanding to provide services in newer and newly emerging energy technologies in both the Power and Industrial markets. We are a multi-discipline practice offering end to end solutions to our clients.

As a Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from helping define scope and staffing hours for proposals; assigning staff to specific projects; providing technical advice and resources; coordinating with other offices on staffing and expertise; checking and approving calculations and documents; ensuring our quality assurance standards are met; developing and mentoring members of your group.

  • Ability to perform clear calculations with schematics, references, and assumptions.
  • Experience creating and checking calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow.
  • Familiar working with ASME B31.1 and ASME Section VIII.
  • Basic knowledge of pipe materials, valves, relief valves and control valves.
  • Potential occasional/infrequent travel to project site, other offices, or project sites.
  • Recruit talent to your team to support growth.
  • Advise and assist members of the mechanical group.
  • Support Business development activities as required.
  • Assign staff to projects and forecast future staffing requirements.
  • Coordinate with Chief Engineers in other disciplines.
  • Provide technical resources.
  • Ensure projects are supported.
  • Work with a multi-discipline team, collaborators, and Clients.
  • Mentor and develop group members.

What will you contribute?

  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar degree from an ABET accredited college.
  • Fifteen (15) years or more working as an engineer.
  • Experience in engineering design in the energy sector.
  • Experience as technical engineering manager preferred.
  • Experience working in engineering design services preferred.
  • PE license required.

Expected compensation range is between $124K - $200K annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
