Atkins has been providing infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture, and program management services to public and private clients across the United States for more than 50 years.

Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Ft. Lauderdale office as a Civil CAD Technician. Under supervision, provides competency in computer-assisted drafting to support the technical services of the company.

Job Duties:

Provides competency in Civil 3D and drafting experience to support the civil design team.

Incumbents at this level are able to work from verbal or written specifications.

Prepares layouts, drawings and designs from detailed sketches and/or drawings made by technicians, designers or technical professionals, converting paper documents into computerized files.

Makes minor mathematical calculations.

Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Qualifications:

Ability to interpret technical specifications.

Good math skills and CAD skills preferred.

Special Skills:

Drafting experience to include but not limited to competently utilizing Civil 3D application.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma (or equivalent) plus six years related drafting experience OR an Associates Degree in a related technical field plus four years related drafting experience is required
