Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as a Civil Engineer Intern in our Orlando office.

Job Duties:

Under supervision, performs a variety of basic technical tasks to assist technicians, engineers, architects, planners, surveyors or scientists working in transportation, development, environmental, land surveying or other technical services of the company.

Generally applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.

Qualifications/Special Skills:

Good interpersonal skills and capable of developing technical writing, and communications skills.

Must have a valid driver’s license and occasional local travel will be required.

PC and CAD skills required.

Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.

Education and Experience:

High school level courses in math, technical drafting, computer assisted drafting and/or science may be required. No experience is generally required with the applicable high school courses or equivalent training, or if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.

Professional Registrations:

E.I. or EIT is a plus.
