We are seeking an enthusiastic Civil/Structural Engineer who thrives on being busy and having a sense of achievement at the end of each day.  You’ll be keen to learn and to be involved in some projects that will really challenge you and develop your career.

We are looking for someone motivated and with a positive attitude who will fit into our growing team. We’d like to recruit someone who has some post-graduate experience, but we’re more interested in the skills and attitude you bring rather than time served. You’ll enjoy working closely with other engineers in a project team and will be able to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the fundamentals of structural behaviour.

Does this sound like you? In which case, we’d love you to apply for this role.

As part of our Nuclear New Build business, our team specialises in taking on the most challenging engineering projects and opportunities that exist across the board, from technical leadership to project management. With existing relationships with the major operators in the nuclear sector, we offer a stimulating variety of work, within a team which is rapidly developing to meet the challenge of new nuclear build.

As well as traditional design and consultancy work, we also have roles based out on our client’s sites. So you could be spending time getting ‘hands on’ with the civil and structural engineering aspects of a nuclear power station.

Our ideal candidate would be someone who is enthusiastic, is keen to learn and wants their professional work to make a real and lasting positive contribution to the world.

The Person

You will enjoy approaching things in different ways to find the best possible fit – you like making adjustments and playing with different approaches, trying to find the best approach to fit whatever is the current context.  As soon as you’re presented with a problem, you are focused on how to resolve it, whatever it might be.

You don’t just tackle these things alone.  You like to engage with others, ask questions and build relationships with your colleagues.  You enjoy breaking down and understanding complex ideas, and applying your knowledge to solve real world problems.

We’d like you to be flexible; much of our work requires us to be based out on our client’s sites or to work collaboratively with them in their offices.
Overall, you get satisfaction from building relationships with others.  You enjoy getting to know people, and working out how you can have a positive impact on them – whether that’s delivering something that a client needs, or helping someone to progress within the organization.

In addition to having excellent communication and problem solving skills you will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Degree qualified Civil or Structural Engineer.
• Some post-graduate experience working in a consultancy.
