The role of Client Director is to define, manage and deliver the divisional strategy in each of their respective territories with a focus on high quality client engagement. This specific role is focused on clients in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
The primary objective of the role is to establish a brand based reputation for an excellent client management approach supported by a world class technical delivery from our regional and global design centres.
The scope of the role is focussed on the local market in KSA, with the flexibility to construct, in conjunction with the Regional SLT, a local client and project management capability to meet and exceed quarterly and annual performance targets.
There is a high degree of autonomy expected of the Client Director role; with a requirement for robust decision making, strong communication and engagement with the SLT.
The Atkins Middle East Transportation and Infrastructure Division is focused on the delivery of projects and programmes for key and strategic clients in the  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  The role of Client Director is to define, manage and deliver the divisional strategy in each of the territory with a focus on high quality client engagement.

Territory budgets are based on target revenue’s, allowing Client Directors to define and construct a bespoke client management team to service the local market, and specifically Key Clients.
The Client Directors reports directly into the Regional Transportation and Infrastructure Division Senior Leadership Team and is directly responsible for the performance of all projects and activities and staff matters in their respective territory.



The Client Director is responsible for divisional activities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and respective key client accounts.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Establishing a deep meaningful understanding of key market players, trends and risks;
  • Building strong relationships with Key Clients and establish confidence to support a repeat business model;
  • Defining, constructing and leading a Client management team, tailored to meet the needs of the local market;
  • Manage and define a winning bid strategy, ensuring that Atkins provide value for money, whilst maintaining agreed revenue and margin targets on a quarterly basis;
  • Support the Divisions delivery strategy and facilitate strong working relationships with all key stakeholders;
  • Ensure Atkins Group and Divisional processes are followed in all win work and deliver work activities;
  • Managing, maintaining and reporting on a revenue pipeline for the financial year.

Communications and Working Relationships:
Line management and working relationships with direct and indirect reports are defined at the discretion of the Client Director; maintaining a standard of care, in line with the Atkins group policies is a minimum expectation.
Regular communications with the Regional SLT and key delivery stakeholders in the regional and global design centres is also expected.  In support of the regional diversification strategy, it is also important that a strong working relationship is established with the Client Directors in other regions to ensure a consistent approach.
  • Strong understanding of key clients in the local market with a reputable relationship management record;
  • Strong track record of account planning including setting targets, identifying opportunities, monitoring competitions, and delivering the targets;
  • Major project delivery experience, related to the Transportation and Infrastructure Division;
  • Line management experience of up to 50 direct and indirect reports;
  • Extensive experience of the Project Management process, including commercial and contractual review and application;
  • Excellent language, presentation and communication skills;
  • Business based thinking and commercially astute approach.
  • Preference would be for a Saudi National
