SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business is the leading UK engineering consultancy in transportation and we are seeking a Collaborative and Behavioural Lead in our Win Work team to offer bidding and business support to enable the delivery of collaborative projects and behaviours to our clients.

The Transportation Win Work team face a business of 3,750 staff across UK and Europe, delivering bids across our three key Markets: Local Transport, Strategic Highways and Strategic Rail. The recent portfolio of bids worked on by the team include some of the most interesting infrastructure projects in the UK at present: HS2 Engineering Delivery Partner, Crossrail 2, A303 Amesbury to Berwick Down, Transport for Greater Manchester Framework, and numerous high profile Intelligent Mobility projects which are shaping the future of the transportation market. Looking forward we have a substantial pipeline of opportunities across our business and are a seeking to recruit an experienced Collaborative and Behavioural Lead to support the needs of the wider business in terms of bid support, challenging the delivery of collaborative strategy, and maintaining Atkins Transportation’s certification to the ISO44001 Collaborative Business Relationship standard.

This post will cover a highly capable and motivated individual who will be going on maternity leave in July 2018 and we are looking for a similar individual, who is passionate about supporting the business.

Role requirements
• Experience in implementing the principles of BS11000 / ISO44001
• Experience in facilitating psychometric assessments
• Proven experience of working in the UK infrastructure market
• Ability to demonstrate experience of building effective networks, both internally and external to the organisation
• Good understanding of client requirements for collaborative working
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong presenting and influencing skills – written, verbal, presentational and facilitation – to impact and influence decisions and direction of travel
• Strong coaching skills
• Interest in developing new and innovative solutions to client issues
• Experience of working in procurement
• Ability to develop compelling responses to client’s collaboration and behavioural needs
• Ability to undertake tasks within demanding timescales
• Experience liaising with external and internal contacts at a range of levels.

Role responsibilities
• Supporting the Win Work team in delivering excellent quality responses to bid work focused on collaboration and collaborative working
• Supporting and coaching delivery teams on client presentation and interviews to secure work
• Coordination and advising on the use of psychometric tools in demonstrating team behaviour
• Maintain programme of ISO44001 accreditation across Transportation including creating and managing a continuous improvement plan for collaboration
• Providing guidance on the use of the ISO44001 standard approach in relationship management
• Seek out and design new material to work with teams to improve effectiveness of collaboration in project work to shape value propositions
• Support the wider Atkins business in their awareness and use of a collaborative approach
• Collaborate with Market and Practice Directors in establishing, monitoring and tracking of client relationships
• Develop wider Collaboration and Behavioural skills within the Win Work team and wider business
• Act as a role model for Collaboration and Behaviours across the business.

The Individual
• An existing successful track record within the transportation or infrastructure sector
• Proven excellence in relationship management
• Motivated and ambitious for the success of the team
• Proactive, goal oriented individual with superior verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent team player, able to influence technical and delivery staff and collaborate effectively with other divisional colleagues
• Confidence to influence those in senior roles to think differently about delivery
• A mobile individual available to travel across the UK working away from home when the situation arises
• Degree level and equivalent professional qualifications.

This role will be a Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
