About Technology Enabled Services

Technology Enabled Services (TES) is a new group within Atkins that supports the global Atkins businesses by developing and delivering technology to enhance service and value to our clients. Focusing initially on 5 client offerings (asset management, site inspection, data insights, brownfield digitization, and PMO), our role is to provide domain and technology experts, along with technology platforms (our own, and through partners) to support growth of the global Atkin’s business.

About this role

As part of our development, we are looking for an Operations Manager to establish, lead and drive our operational processes and manage our operational flow.  Working directly for the overall TES Leader, this] role will coordinate with the different TES Client Offering leaders, the Atkins’ businesses, key technology suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure our operational rhythm is efficient and effective. This will involve creating and leading key processes such as opportunity pipeline reviews, managing commercial agreements, monitoring and tracking key performance indicators, and generally driving the operational health of our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, lead and drive the operational and commercial processes and procedures for the entire TES group.
• Be a key member of the overall leadership team for TES to drive performance and right culture.
• Maintain oversight of our project pipeline to ensure we have full visibility of upcoming projects and are driving the right priorities and decisions. 
• Act as contact point for Atkins staff who want to understand how commercially they leverage our TES offerings. Ensure all non-disclosure agreements, privacy and GDPR processes are in place. 
• Manage commercial agreements both internally when business units leverage our people or platforms, and externally when we engage third party technology providers.
• Ensure we recover costs from internal business units when they leverage our people and platforms.
• Own the innovation budget and Atkins Digital Pathway process and ensure incubation activities across EDPM follow our process. 
• Provide regular reporting on TES performance in key areas for senior stakeholders.
• Work with the TES Client Offering leaders to ensure we follow our operational and commercial processes. 
• Other tasks are to ensure the TES team is operationally successful such as managing other KPIs, ensuring smooth business engagement, maintaining templates and trackers etc.

Highly desirable

• A strong network within the EDPM business unit, and a good understanding of EDPM systems and processes related to operations
• Experience of managing and reviewing effectiveness of commercial arrangements.
• Knowledge of contracts or commercial structures & framework
• Experience of working in a fast-paced technology-based environment 
• Experience of civil engineering and infrastructure domain
• Experience of digital solution/software development 
• Experience of working in a global organisation and with global customers
