Compensation Advisor – Rewards, UK & Europe Region

Role Summary:
This role reports directly to the UK & Europe (UK&E) Compensation Business Partner and the incumbent will provide technical compensation analysis, advice and project management across the following:
• Supporting the Compensation Business Partner with the implementation of corporate compensation programmes for the UK&E region, which will include the annual merit review and corporate incentive programmes, in line with the corporate compensation guidelines and cycles
• Maintenance and quarterly consolidation of the EDPM sector’s executive annual bonus and long term incentive plan data to ensure alignment with the corporate compensation team’s reporting requirements
• Lead the participation in market data surveys, for the UK&E region
• Managing the annual UK gender pay gap and other mandatory reporting to ensure compliance with legislative reporting requirements
• Undertaking comprehensive analysis and benchmarking activity of direct compensation elements, including development of pay ranges for the UK&E region and adhoc benchmarking requests where appropriate
• Supporting the implementation and ongoing management of the SNC-Lavalin job classification system for the UK&E region, including advice on job grading for new and changed roles
• Supporting the development and implementation of pay ranges in the UK&E based on market data
• Supporting the Compensation Business Partner with internal and external hires including grading advice, salary proposals and benefit schemes
• Advising HR Business Partners and Advisors on reward policy and processes and specifically compensation queries

This role is currently being advertised as 12 months FTC.


Requirements:
• Considerable years of HR experience with extensive experience within compensation
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
• Experience supporting the annual remuneration review in a large and complex organisation structure
• Strong project management experience
• Strong analytical skills and highly numerate
• Excellent attention to detail and rigor in execution, ability to present data and recommendations in an organised and logical way
• Ability to work in a team-driven environment as well as in an autonomous manner
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously in a fast-changing environment
• Proactive, expected to put forward ideas / suggestions to improve policies, processes and procedures
• Interest in coaching of junior staff
• Advanced Excel capabilities and proficient knowledge of PowerPoint

Advantageous:
• Knowledge of established job evaluation methodologies (e.g. Hay, Willis Towers Watson) together with experience of implementing a new grading structure
• Workday experience
• Experience in supporting HR Business Partners
