Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Fort Lauderdale, FL Project Controls Group as a Construction Cost Estimator.
MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE:
Provide cost estimating support on varied construction projects. May include schedule development or schedule reviews.
JOB DUTIES:
Work involves utilizing a set of construction plans to develop quantities to be installed, and then pricing the cost of construction to develop an opinion of the potential cost of construction for the project. Could also involve the development and/or review of project schedules.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline plus three years' relevant experience, or two years' experience since Master's degree. Candidate must have building/facility estimating experience. Experience with Engineering/Architecture firms are a plus with contracting. On-Screen Takeoffs software experience required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to use computer, printer, plotter to prepare accurate reports and supporting documentation. Familiarity with applicable software.
