Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team at the US Military Academy at West Point NY as a Sr Construction Manager.

Major Function/Role:


Will provide CM and QA services on a series of large barracks rehabilitation and modernization projects at the United States Military Academy. The individual will be a member of the 2 person, full time Atkins field office at West Point, NY. Weekend work will be required when necessary.

NOTE: Incumbents do not supervise any contractor activities and are not responsible for job site safety.

Assistance with relocation may be provided.



Job Duties:


Performs supervisory field work in support of company's construction management operations. Applies conventional field observation practices in diversified construction projects with relatively few highly complex features. Resolves plan and/or contract disputes as required by project activity. Communicates project information to both owner and contractor effectively.



Education and Experience:


Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field required. Without a degree, fifteen years related experience is preferred. USACE experience and experience with projects on a military installation is strongly desired.


Special Skills:

 
Requires strength in communication skills, dispute/conflict resolution, and clarity in written and verbal direction.



Professional Registrations:


PE, PMP or CCM desired
