Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Construction Supervisor to join the nuclear team in Oak Ridge, TN.

Job Description

 

Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk

 

Participates in the hiring process that ensures positions are staffed with personnel who possess the appropriate education and experience and who can be successful in meeting training and qualification requirements

 

Ensures are appropriately indoctrinated and trained to the necessary competence level for performing their duties

 

Supervises installation and construction projects

 

Takes projects from final design through construction and acceptance testing to operation

 

Provides technical expertise and guidance to implement facility modifications

 

Interfaces between subcontractors/Isotek craft and design engineers to resolve field issues

 

Walkdowns spaces and determine issues with design and develop implementable resolution

 

Ensures that safety is an integral element embodied in equipment design and specification and that work is being performed in a safe and efficient manner

 

Works on a timeline, ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work; initiates corrective measures to overcome delays

 

Coordinates work assignments to meet project-established schedules and budgets

 

Understands, complies, and is responsible for working to environmental health and safety policies and procedures

 

Performs independent research and evaluations of facility changes and design modifications

 

Supports installation and testing of site structures, systems and components

 

Participates in the preparation of cost estimates for internal and external clients

 

Works under limited supervision

 

Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions and the Isotek Safety Culture



Job Requirements

Supervisory experience required.

Experience supervising Union personnel

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office

Strong communication, verbal and written skills

Ability to interface at all levels of the organization and with the customer

Ability to track schedule and cost


Education and Experience Requirements

Baccalaureate in engineering or related science.

Previous experience supporting DOE construction projects

Experience working with multi-disciplinary groups.

Minimum of 5 years in construction field
