Contract Manager

Our Team in Portland is growing! We are seeking a Contract Manager who will work at our Premier Semi-Conductor Manufacturer Client site. The Contract Manager will be focused on supporting the Sourcing and Procurement Department. This role will identify ways to create value and minimize legal risk while utilizing effective negotiation abilities in creating contracts that will lead to increased profitability. This will be an internal Faithful+Gould employee position that will be supporting our client through owner’s representation.

Responsibilities

  • Uses negotiation tactics and strategies with internal and external customers and suppliers to optimize value.
  • Draws conclusions and make recommendations by analyzing facts and conditions, and making comparison of prices, discounts, delivery dates, or handling charges.
  • Compares prices on recurring types of procurements.
  • Assists in the preparation of solicitation documents.
  • Writes procurement memoranda and minutes of meetings, and drafts simple contract provisions with supporting documentation.
  • Applies business practices and market conditions applicable to program
  • Evaluates bid responsiveness, contractor responsibility, and contractor performance.
  • Performs routine contracting or contract administration functions, such as reviewing procurement documents for completeness, processing procurements involving standard specifications, gathering and analyzing data for use by others, or writing portions of solicitations, contracts, and supporting documentation.
  
Requirements
  • A BS/BA degree Engineering, Business, Finance, Construction Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Five years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of commonly used contracting methods and contract types relating to the performance of pre-award, post-award, and/or contract price/cost analysis functions when the contract actions are well defined and precedence exists.
  • Experience in Sourcing and Procurement.
