Job Description

• This new role is in the offshored team within the Finance Shared Services function of an international engineering & design consultancy company.  The shared services team will be co-located with several hundred fee-earning staff in a professional business environment.       
• This position is within the Corporate Services accounting team.  The role will report to the Corporate Services Senior Management Accountant in Bangalore and the Corporate Services Financial Controller based in the UK . The main activities are to administer and process the preferred consolidated supplier & internal recharges, including statement reconciliation and resolving supplier and internal customer queries.

Qualifications

Batchelor’s degree

Essential Criteria

• The candidate must have at least three years’ accounting experience.
• Strong reconciliation and double entry bookkeeping skills.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including use and set-up of Pivot tables.
• Good English skills – written and verbal communication.
• Experience of an accounting software package.

Desirable Criteria

Good working knowledge of JD Edwards accounting software

Responsibilities

• Processing of consolidated supplier recharges data.
• Production of monthly reports detailing consolidation supplier invoices.
• Ensure UK VAT is correctly accounted for on consolidated supplier invoices, including preparation of monthly VAT statistics.
• Uploading of supplier invoices to the intranet.
• Reconciliation of recharge accounts on a monthly basis.
• Ensuring costs are correctly recharged to the business, including resolution of coding queries.
• Ensuring timely approval and payment of consolidated supplier invoices.
• Annual review of process notes
• Ad hoc tasks
