We are currently looking for experts to join our team in Mumbai, India, to provide multi-disciplinary services and expertise to our client working on a high end / large size retail showroom of a Multinational Company. The work will involve project management, engineering, and procurement and construction supervision and we’re looking for people at all levels, in particular the role defined below.
We need 10 to 12 years experienced Cost Manager in a PMC - Retail Show Room Construction Greenfield Project, to be based in Navi Mumbai, India and will be reporting to Commercial / Contracts or Project Manager.

  • Preparation of initial Order of Cost Estimate to establish project budget.
  • Development of the initial cost estimate at concept stage to produce Concept Design estimate
  • Prepare Preliminary Cost estimate in accordance within prescribed standards and procedures
  • Prepare  tender bill of quantities and associated pricing documents for inclusion in tender documentation
  • Prepare Pre-Tender Estimate of the works
  • Carrying out tender evaluation and preparing tender reports
  • Review of Bonds and Insurances as submitted by the Contractor
  • Checking contractor’s application and preparing interim payment certificates
  • Checking and agreeing with a recommendation for payment, the contractor’s final account
  • Evaluating proposed variations to contract with respect to financial impact on the contract
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Prepare regular cost reports as required
  • Liaising between contractor and other consultants to ensure timely delivery of service
  • Managing the change order process, including cost estimating, guidance on merit verification, change order justification, independent fair cost estimate s, recommended action for changes, and change order negotiations
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering (preferably Mech or Elect) and or cost management discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience
  • 5 years experience in working on building/showroom projects.
  • Must be familiar with different forms/categories of contracts particularly in India, also experience in FIDIC.  
  • Must have outstanding communication skills in written and spoken in Hindi, Marathi and English.
  • Must be able to work both independently with a proactive approach and collaboratively as part of a multi-cultural team.
  • Should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
