We are currently recruiting for an apprentice to join the Crewe office.
For this position we are recruiting in to the following business areas – Transportation.
With Atkins, you’ll be joining a team who help to create a world where lives are enriched through the implementation of our ideas and by solving the engineering challenges of the future. Our apprentice programme will provide you with the foundations to maximise your full potential.

What you’ll be doing:
Join us in our Signaling and Communications Practice and you will shape the future of transportation by helping our clients deploy the latest Transport Systems technologies to provide safe, punctual, fast and environmentally efficient journeys to millions of people.
Apprentices will work with a variety of teams, join us and you can expect to be involved in a variety of projects to: •Support engineers in creating ground breaking designs for all kinds of projects •You’ll support in the delivery of the technology systems that will help our clients manage and optimise tomorrow’s transport infrastructure. •Opportunity to get involved in a variety of project work relating to road or rail technology projects under the direction of Project Manager(s) •Reviewing policy documents and guidance notes •Undertaking site visits to collect and then analyse relevant data •Working with colleagues and clients to develop new innovative transport solutions •Supporting client meetings and assisting in building relationships •Shaping the future of the digital world
During your 5 year apprenticeship, no two days will be the same as you study and work with a variety of teams whilst developing the skills you need to enjoy a great future at Atkins. Spending one day at your local university, you’ll study towards a Level 6qualification, degree apprenticeship in . Not only will you learn in the classroom, you’ll enjoy being part of the team as you will get involved with all kinds of projects and learn something new every day.
Who we’re looking for
Enthusiastic, inclusive and committed, you should be curious about the world around you and always want to learn more. To really succeed in the role, you will need to demonstrate that you have:
•5 GCSEs including a B/6 in Mathematics and a C/4 in English Language •112 UCAS Points (Not including General Studies) •The ability to work in a team, assisting with the planning, design and smooth running of variety of projects •Creativity and strong communication skills •Vision, inclusive and the drive to keep on learning •To be reliable, practical and self-motivated •To Work across different locations on a variety of projects, constantly developing skills and experience
