Atkins Infrastructure division are looking to appoint a
Delivery Lead to manage and coordinate the delivery of Developer Services work streams on behalf of a major client in the water sector. The successful candidate will be located within the client’s office in Hampshire and will interface between Atkins’ project team and the client’s team.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of one of Atkins’ key strategic frameworks and will allow the successful candidate to work directly with and grow strong relationships with a valued client.
Atkins’ contract with the client requires that we work to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and accordingly the successful candidate will be required to monitor and report on performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure that standards are maintained at all times. Project Management, technical support and staff supervision will all be required to support the core duties of our contract. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to feed into the continuous improvement of the working processes, as well as to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the client.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing a number of workstreams as part of the delivery of Developer Services to applicants, including: new water and sewer connections, new water mains and sewers, capacity checks, diversionary works, sewer adoptions, build overs, c-notices and planning,
• Management of interaction between Atkins and the client
• Monitoring of Atkins and Client KPI performance
• Proactive digital development of KPI dashboarding and monitoring
• Technical support of Atkins staff on Developer Services workstreams
• Process review and improvement – the project is constantly looking to improve the way it completes work – the Project Coordinator will be integral in driving this
• Project spend and costs monitoring
• Detailed change control when a process is changed so that interruptions to performance are not experienced
• Acting as the first point of contact for queries and issues in real time
• Attendance at monthly client meetings – demonstrating and discussing performance against SLAs
Requirements
• Experience of UK water and/or waste water networks.and/or other utilities sector knowledge
• Understanding of OFWAT and Water UK Developer Services sector (desirable)
• Ability to deliver value to clients through effective and proactive process management
• Experience of working in a utility procurement and management role, or similar, or a background in fulfilling such a role working for consultancy or water provider
• Knowledge of the construction and / or engineering industry
• An appreciation of relevant levels of service legislation introduced by Water UK in 2014 (desirable)
• An understanding of the water utility market competition legislation (desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong technical competency and communications skills
• Be able to work to strict deadlines, KPIs and SLAs
• Resilient and capable of working in a client facing role, whilst building a strong, professional relationship
• Computer literate, and experienced in all Microsoft applications
• Full clean driving licence (desirable)
Additional Information
• Working permanently at Client office in Otterbourne, Hampshire
• Prepared to travel to other Atkins and client locations for meetings and general engagement with colleagues
