SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Nuclear Group in Oak Ridge, TN as a
Digital Communications Coordinator.

JOB SUMMARY

Is responsible for coordinating a wide variety of strategic and tactical communications activities for the Isotek project. Performs a broad range of communications/marketing activities, including the generation of reports, brochures, graphics, spreadsheets and other required business documents as needed to help the organization accomplish their goals. Provides assistance in delivering digital marketing communications for the project. Assists in efforts to drive messaging to key audiences through digital platforms including, but not limited to web-based marketing, Social Media and all other forms of digital communications delivery.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assists on projects to attract and influence prospective and current clients (SharePoint site, email, thought leadership, social media)
  • Complete social and email projects to coincide with planned events and programs.
  • Helps identify and develop content (copy and design) for email, social media, and other digital media.
  • Monitors and provides updates on assigned digital projects.
  • Collaborates with development teams on shared goals.
  • Collaborates with other team members on reporting, content curation and editorial opportunities.
  • Develops print, audio, and video media targeting key audiences and customers to increase brand awareness and value.
  • Develops, shapes and implements internal communication strategies to inform, connect and engage clients.
  • Develops and executes communication plans and strategies to support key initiatives.
  • May prepare and advise senior leaders on strategic communications and messaging on key initiatives.
  • Coordinates with senior executives to ensure accurate and effective messaging to diverse stakeholders and audiences.
  • Works closely with the executive team to identify new opportunities to meet the organizational objectives.
  • Prepares presentations, reports, graphics, correspondence, brochures and other marketing materials as needed.
  • Performs photography, writing and editing tasks.
  • Prepares some proposal documentation (e.g., expressions of interest) for small projects.
  • Performs such assignments and duties as the Supervisor may deem necessary from time to time.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing, business, English, communications, or other related field OR Associates degree with two years of related experience.
  • 3 years of experience in marketing, business, photography, journalism or communications
  • 5 years of experience in marketing, business, journalism or communications is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to proactively lead media, communications and marketing initiatives to achieve project objectives
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to articulate a vision and strategy to motivate a team to achieve a business objective
  • Basic ability to work in a high-stress environment that may require after-hours work
  • Intermediate knowledge of the use of Adobe Illustrator, SharePoint, Microsoft Office products and other graphics application software

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Requires research, writing and editing skills with understsanding of English grammar, spelling, and compsition; oral communication and interpersonal skills; ability to understand the strategy, values and culture of the project and apply that understanding to support the strategy and concerns of the Project.
  • Awareness of consumer behavior on digital channels (social networks, emerging channels, and web.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and communicate effectively on all aspects of work being done and proposed.
  • Results-oriented and able to collaborate or work independently.
