Digital Design Manager

Experienced Design Manager with a strong background in active Digital Project experience. You will be required to manage multi-geographical design team, subcontractors and managing Digital Design review meetings and providing regular project reports. Deliver presentations and be self-motivated to learn and develop new processes and technology to share with/educate Digital Enterprise team members throughout the company.



  • Develop and execute project specific and client driven goals, schedules, budgets, strategy and detailed assumptions with methodology for accomplishing and/or managing goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria that meet both Atkins and Client needs.
  • Build and maintain rapport with client representatives and ensure that the scopes of project and outside business forces affecting the project is fully understood and that specific deliverables are fully understood with performance standards and other relevant criteria.
  • Coordinate any necessary due diligence efforts on behalf of the internal team, project partners, clients and/or end users, maintaining and delivering all appropriate documentation.
  • Ability to create and administer a project Digital Building Plan (BIM Execution Plan).
  • Develop use cases that will drive increased productivity, efficiency and reduce risk in delivery.
  • Very strong demonstrated capability in the use of key Digital Engineering systems.
  • Present and promote the use of Digital processes and technology in the Architecture and Engineering fields from Design through to Construction
  • Assist project teams in Digital project setup
  • Proficient use of Digital technology including file interoperability and information exchange processes
  • Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and minimize futile work
  • Facilitate the development of Design Delivery Schedule along with client and other project stakeholder
  • Develop comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for each related discipline and ensuring no scope gap
  • Negotiate scope-of-work, deliverables and price with consulting firms
  • Manage distribution and production of project workload within team
  • Determine need for use of outside studios or vendors
  • Collaborate on new design issues and research projects with team
  • Evaluate and motivate designers toward continued growth and leading design solutions
  • Participate in departmental strategic planning
  • Experience in Middle East authority
  • Demonstrable experience with gaining Statutory Authorities approval within Middle East
  • Ensuring design meets clients Expectation, through facilitation of value engineering and interaction with Cost consultants

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering or a technology-related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a combination of construction operations, preconstruction, architecture or VDC in the AEC industry.
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in AutoDesk Suite is critical. Must be familiar with other construction related software (Tekla, P6, Sketchup, Engineering Analysis Tools).
  • Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements, knowledge of codes, regulations and submission requirements.
  • Must have the ability to lead groups of people in adopting new technology
  • Experience in implementing new systems is desirable.
