We are a multi-discipline, talented team of over 95 people, including UX/UI designers, graphic designers, animators, visualisers, real-time and web developers all over the globe. The Role:

This is a truly exciting opportunity for a strategic and user centric creative, with client experience to join the team. We’re looking for someone who is a natural initiative taker who brings out the best in people. You must be able to think analytically and strategically about how projects can be taken to the next level through interactive experiences and technology. Proactively bringing ideas on how projects and the overall business can run more effectively, challenging creativity, processes and strategies and overall improving the quality and delivery of our projects.

You will be a senior lead of our multidisciplinary agile team, alongside other digital and technical experts to deliver multiple digital services. You will be proficient at switching between being a practitioner and senior design decision maker on a variety of projects, responsible for analysing digital performance metrics, developing strategies for improvement, managing budget and delivering measurable results. You will be as comfortable pitching to clients as you are experimenting with new technologies and bringing designers and developers together.

You will be a results-driven strategic creative able to assess the short and long-term goals of Creative Design and suggest ways to accomplish them, taking responsibility for managing and developing our digital team members and ensuring that we keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies to continue to grow in the digital space.

This is a hybrid role, being based out of our Birmingham office 2 days per week, with some adhoc travel to our other UK offices.

Your overarching responsibilities:

  • Strategic thinking enabling you to drive the business vision forward through client engagement, spotting opportunities and maximising potential – pitching to clients virtually and F2F.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong commercial understanding to maximise opportunities and add value to clients. You will appreciate the importance of operations as strongly as creativity.
  • Proactively collaborate with web and real-time developers, ensuring user experience, accessibility and visual quality is at the heart of everything we do. Generate regular reports on digital performance metrics, offering actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis, and work closely with other disciplines to implement digital improvements and ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Strategic support in raising the team's profile and marketing activities through strong visual communication and a celebration of the team's delivery.
  • Inspiring senior team members as well as your own team – directing and motivating others and helping them to believe in your ideas, mentoring and developing your team.
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their goals for upcoming campaigns and projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and analytics tools to continuously improve digital engagement strategies – be prepared to push boundaries and share information with the wider team.
  • Consider innovative approaches, pitch investment ideas to leadership and track return on investment.

What you can bring?

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels – Expert UX and UI skills and a strong understanding of how to apply them to web and immersive real-time projects/products.
  • Experience in a more strategic design role, leading other designers at a project level, and making tactical, pragmatic decisions to influence strategic goals and develop design maturity.
  • Experience of managing stakeholder expectations, setting direction and navigating difficult discussions within the team or with diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Confident communication skills with experience of pitching to clients and colleagues, winning new work and leading projects, as well as running workshops.
  • Experience of using collaborative web applications and softwares, including FIGMA.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with strong customer service skills and content creation abilities.
  • Experience working in a highly-collaborative, dynamic environment across local, regional, and global offices.
  • An experienced people leader with the ability to grow and develop our digital team, able to lead from a strategic point of view.
  • Willing and able to meet challenges head-on, solve problems independently, and make things happen.
