About Technology Enabled Services
Technology Enabled Services (TES) is a new group within Atkins that supports the global businesses to develop and deliver new services that are enabled by technology. Focusing initially on 4 client offerings (digital asset management, site inspections, insight as a service and digital twin services), our role is to drive the commercialisation of new tech enabled services by providing a shared service of technology experts and technology platform services to the global Atkin’s business.
About this role
This is a really exciting role at the heart of Atkins’s digital transformation and working on the next generation of digital ideas. The role offers the opportunity to be involved in digital innovation across Atkins and to be involved in the new digital solutions from day 1. This role will manage the incubation of new digital offerings that could become future TES offerings by working with business teams in EDPM to develop the business case and Minimum Viable Products (MVP) offers to test their attractiveness. They will also own the Digital Pathway process and act as a source of advice and guidance to EDPM on how to apply the Pathway. The role is therefore partly about managing our investment budget and helping us decide which ideas to invest in. It’s also partly about acting as a domain expert on innovation and incubation using the Digital Pathway to help EDPM globally develop the right solutions. And its party about acting as a hands-on solution development manager to hep teams develop and test the right MVPs. The role holder will be expected to one day be talking about innovation strategy and the next day rolling up their shelves as part of a solution development team conducting customer interviews or early sales calls.
This role is currently being advertised as Fixed term for 1 year sabbatical cover.

Main Responsibilities
- Work with teams in EDPM to investigate the potential for digital ideas to become future TES offerings by researching and developing the business case and customer attractive.
- Support EDPM teams through the process of bidding for funding via the Atkins Digital Investment Fund (ADIF). This will include helping them prepare their pitch, doing the ground research and developing the business case.
- Manage the ADIF process including setting up and running the investment boards and ensuring all papers are in place
- Manage the ADIF budget including preparing teams for ADIF submission, establishing right cost codes and closely tracking spend once investment is approved.
- Work with EDPM teams on developing and testing MVPs for potential digital solutions including conducting customer research interviews and winning early launch sales
- Act as first point of contact for EDPM on the Digital Pathway process and work to encourage teams to understand and use the Digital Pathway for their own digital solution incubation.
- Act as source of advice for EDPM on digital business models and pricing strategies.
- Work with the 4 current TES offer owners to apply the Digital Pathway process for any development needed for their offerings.
