SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Financial Leadership Team as a Director of Financial Management. This position can be seated in, but is not limited to, Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Calverton, MD; Denver, CO; Henderson, NV; Houston, TX; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; or Tampa, FL.


MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Supports CFO in financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting to the business and oversees related processes. Oversees financial managers and manages financial reporting, analysis, and compliance for financial accounting and reporting. Responsible for the monthly close process.


JOB DUTIES
  • Responsible for the monthly close process- accurate financial reporting in accordance with corporate Standard Operating Procedures and IFRS 15. Initiates all monthly reporting and develops and coordinates the process flow for reporting.
  • Responsible for the forecasting and budgeting process. Initiates formats and provides overall roll up of forecasts and budgets to management. Provides analysis on trends, key KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Responsible for backlog reporting and working with Business Development and Sales and Operations to ensure timely and accurate reporting and drives the process and procedures for backlog calculations and reporting.
  • Provides analysis on an adhoc basis as needed for the CFO and Senior Leadership.
  • Responsible for corporate reporting to include Position Papers and Corporate Project Status Reports.
  • Supports quarterly reporting and aides in preparation of the Quarterly Business Review.
  • Supports cash management and forecasting.
  • Supports internal and external audits.
  • Performs such assignments and duties as the CFO may deem necessary from time to time.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred. Minimum fifteen years relevant experience.


SPECIAL SKILLS
  • Must have strong understanding of the business operations of a consulting firm. Must have advanced analytical skills. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Solid understanding of financial systems is required; previous experience with ORACLE financials is a plus.
