Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Philadelphia, PA Rail & Transit Group as a Document Control Coordinator.
MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE
Develop and implement document control procedures. Manage document control system for area of responsibility and provide quality control, oversight and training to ensure that the system operates efficiently and meets users' needs. Provide Administration support services as needed by SNCL/ANA and Faith & Gould projects.
JOB DUTIES
- Develop and implement new document control procedures as necessary for area of responsibility.
- Provide training to management and technical/administrative staff in area of responsibility in matters of document control.
- Perform quality control reviews in the area of document control for area of responsibility.
- Revise and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures manual for area of responsibility.
- Maintain and update information on relevant teamsite(s), if applicable.
- Coordinate document production in legal matters.
- Maintain document control system in area of responsibility.
- May perform such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary to include administrative duties. (report formatting, minute taking/drafting).
- Occasional local travel may be required in support of the various projects to be worked on. Note: It is envisaged that for 2 years 75% or more of the work will be delivered at SEPTA’s HQ on Market Street (near city Hall)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree plus minimum two years of diversified business experience in positions with administrative, clerical, and advanced filing or document control duties. Without a degree, requires ten years' experience in progressively responsible administrative work. MLS preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. Ability to deal effectively and harmoniously with people at all levels of the organization.
