Atkins is currently seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our Oak Ridge Energy Team as a Document Control Manager.
The Document Control Manager develops, administers and manages document control and record management activities to ensure effective control, distribution, traceability, retrievability and retention of documents and records.
Supports employees, customers, auditors and vendors with all document control needs. Performs eB system administration, coordinating with all user groups and IT.
Provides eB system administration, including adding users, configuring new document sets (attributes, templates, security), configure new folders and reports (ability to use eQL).
Assess and analyze requests for new or updated functionality. Plan and implement when applicable.
Co-ordinate between different user groups to ensure that application changes made for one group do not adversely impact another one.
Co-ordinate the system support with IT to ensure the IT infrastructure is appropriate to support the application.
Provides oversight, direction, training and assistance to Document Control staff on all document control and record management matters to ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with established rules, regulations, policies and procedures. These tasks contribute to smooth company operations.
Prepares and implements document controls processes to ensure procedures, correspondence, instructions and drawings are properly approved, issued, distributed and maintained.
Implements record storage controls to ensure quality-related records are protected from deterioration, destruction and unauthorized access and to ensure the records are readily retrievable.
Assists preparers of documents released to Document Control to ensure requirements are met (e.g., correct document formatting).
Maintains and ensures proper protection of safeguards and sensitive security information.
Manages document control staff selection, development and retention. Establishes and monitors work goals and objectives. Evaluates employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience in eB Nuclear as a User and Administrator.
Detailed understanding of quality assurance and quality control regulations and standards.
Critical thinking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Advanced technical writing skills (i.e., the ability to assist with writing procedures and instructions).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and database applications.
A bachelor’s degree in business or administration or engineering or approved equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in document control/records management.
Experience in eB Nuclear
Supervisory experience required.
Certified Records Manager – preferred
