The Atkins Transportation division undertakes engineering E&P installation and test works for the UK Rail Market and for various clients.The E&P construction team within Atkins covers all aspects of electrical and mechanical requirements in the rail environment including survey, installation, test & commission, working to the latest technical specifications and Network Rail Group Standards.

We are currently recruiting for E&P Electrical installation engineers join our team to work on various projects throughout the UK and have a high level of competency to deliver E&P installations within the Rail sector. The installations will encompass signalling power supplies, points heating. DNO supplies and also building services for stations and depots and trackside schemes.

Responsibilities
• Report directly to the E&P Construction Site Supervisor on all aspects of the projects in which they are delivering.
• Carry out electrical installations within the Railway environment, they must have a clear understanding of the latest relevant NR standards and Group standards appropriate to the activities expected.
• The capability to liaise with third party subcontractors to assist with the safe deliver of utility services within the Network Rail environment.
• Can clearly demonstrate the requirements of the IEE Wiring Regulations to BS7671.
• The ability to communicate at a technical and commercial level for related deliverable items of the E&P scope of a project.
• Who can take the technical lead at crucial events within a commissioning and has a clear understanding of their responsibility within the project team.
• Carry out intrusive site surveys.

Requirements
• JIB Approved Electrician, with proven Railway related experience.
• 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations C&G.
• 17th Edition IEE Testing & Inspection C&G 2394 & 2395.
• Appropriate experience working in Rail infrastructure environment is essential, who can demonstrate experience with Signalling Power Supplies, Points Heating & Station refurbishment, lighting installations and test.
• The successful applicant will be a competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
• Full clean current driving license.
• Happy with working away from home for periods of time as and when required.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
